Addison Woolsey is a self-taught ceramic artist and translator based in California. His work explores human-animal relations, perception of the environment and histories of the vessel. He was a long-term resident at Taller Mono Rojo in Mexico City from 2016 to 2019 and has apprenticed with two families in Santa María Atzompa, Oaxaca. He holds an MA in Latin American Studies from UCLA and currently teaches ceramics at Clay Studio Santa Barbara.
